How are y’all doing this afternoon!? We’re enjoying the first official week of summer over here. We went blueberry picking at a nearby farm yesterday, ate popsicles on the porch after breakfast this morning, and are planning to take a dip in the pool hopefully this weekend! Life lately has revolved around keeping Annie entertained and stimulated in creative & new ways – especially with no summer camps, trips, or children’s museum visits making the job much easier on us. I’m also really starting to get the “nesting” itch with baby boy’s arrival now three months away. He will be here before we know it!!

Today, I’m sharing a little life update with a 26-week bumpdate. I’m also chatting all about this stylish sundress & how I’ve been dressing the bump the bigger it gets. These bumpdate posts are always so much fun for me to look back on and I hope they help to inspire either a mama in a similar stage of life, a one-day mama-to-be, or even just a stylish fashionista looking for some inspo! Nothing I’m sharing today is strictly maternity, so this look could be recreated by any & all. Anywho, following along down below for more!

This gorgeous poplin embroidered dress is by Gal Meets Glam and was a recent spring sale find. If you haven’t heard the news already, Julia Berolzheimer, the gal behind the glam, just announced the end of the collection. I’m certainly a bit bummed, as I’ve been such a big fan of her darling dress brand since its launch two years ago. I’m excited to see what is to come from Julia, fingers crossed its more dresses because I can’t resist her line’s feminine chic timeless style.

My Current Favorite Embroidered Dress and a BumpDate

I styled this flowy sundress with a pair of simple wedge espadrilles (currently on sale) a fun summer handbag and a pretty pink headband. These three simple outfit accents are staples in my wardrobe – as they go with just about everything! I’ve linked similar pieces to everything above below for those interested too.

26-Week Bumpdate

Baby is the Size of: A head of kale and as long as a stick of celery.

Feeling: VERY pregnant. I’ve started having Braxton Hicks here and there which has made baby’s looming birth feel real. I’m also convinced baby boy must be measuring big for how far along we are because I am just feeling massive all of a sudden. I definitely remember my belly feeling this big towards the end of my third trimester with Annie but I still have a few days left of the second tri and am already feeling quite … uncomfortable and … large. I’m wondering if this feeling is due to the different seasons of each pregnancy? For example, I wore more supportive maternity pants and leggings with Annie whereas I’m dressing in light and airy dresses – lacking support this go-round. Has anybody else experienced this too?

Cravings: Peach Cobbler, Blueberry Muffins, Cinnamon Rolls, Brownies. Y’all, my sweet tooth is on fire. Also, not a day goes by that I don’t finish dinner with a bowl of cereal pre-dessert. I’m going to have to calm it down before my glucose test next week … that’s for sure.

Nursery Update: We found the most amazing antique mid-century modern dresser that we’re in the midst of refinishing for the nursery. The antique store I was itching to visit has been closed due to COVID but it turns out, calling the owner gives you a private social distanced shopping experience. We found the perfect piece and I’m so glad it all worked out. Patrick and I also just ordered this print by one of our favorite Western artists, Mark Maggiori, to frame above the crib. It’s so exciting to see it all slowly come together!

Looking Forward to: My next OB appointment! There’s nothing like hearing the heartbeat and that everything is going smoothly. Next month we also get to have our 3D ultrasounds. I am SO excited about this! Annie’s 3D ultrasound ending up looking exactly like her (as it should) so I can’t wait to get a sneak peek of our baby boy to be. Other than doctor’s appointments, we have a family beach trip on the horizon. Fingers crossed it all goes according to plan and nothing covid-related causes us to cancel. I have been looking forward to floating in the waves since I found out about this trip in January!!

Recent Purchases:

Maeband: the Maeband is this nifty little dark blue band that helps you to wear your non-maternity jeans all the way through pregnancy. I had originally thought I would be just fine in my maternity jeans but it turns out … I don’t wash my clothes often enough for my few pairs to always be ready when I need them. (Something I should work on!) The Maeband has come in clutch for laundry days and has reminded me once again why nothing beats your favorite pair of gently worn-in blue jeans.

Baby Boy Rompers: You all know how much fun I have dressing up Annie in her precious little toddler dresses. Well, I have a feeling I’m going to love dressing up baby boy just as much! My mom introduced me to Feltman Brother’s baby boy rompers and I am simply smitten! We have three in all different sizes now awaiting his arrival. They are definitely more of a special occasion type of outfit. (Hoping we’re able to have those again come fall!) But I also love getting dressed up with Annie for no reason at all sometimes … so maybe baby boy will join us in that here & there too.

Crib Sheets & Changing Pad Cover: I ordered baby boy’s sheets & changing pad cover both from Little Unicorn. I just love love love their soft muslin fabric and they come in the most darling prints. To keep with the western/cowboy themed nursery, we picked these Bison Printed sheets for him. They look so great in his room!

Thank you all for stopping by for a little bumpdate today! This pregnancy seems to be going be at the speed of light all of a sudden and it felt good to sit down for a minute and take some notes on things so I can look back and remember it all one day.
