It’s pretty safe to say, that this may just be my favorite outfit this spring. How much fun is this neon hibiscus skirt? It’s so different from everything else in my closet and I think that’s why I love it so much. Also, it’s from TopShop, which makes it British. And I looooove all things British.
When I studied abroad in the UK in college I shopped at TopShop way too much for my poor little college student budget. I remember eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for days because I had spent too much on trendy British clothing. (Yes, my mom mailed me peanut butter.) But it was worth the sacrifice. I didn’t study abroad in the UK for their food! Well, let’s be honest I didn’t choose to go over there for the shopping either. The amazing British fashions were just one of the surprises of the whole experience!
But before I go on a tangent of how amazing the scenery, the castles, and the coast of Wales was (we would be here all day) let’s get right to the point. TopShop is now in HOUSTON, TEXAS, ya’ll! I attended the preview party of the new store a few weeks ago and I totally geeked out! From embroidered crop tops, denim skirts, bright bikinis, classy one pieces, to fancy party dresses, TopShop Houston has something for everyone. And maybe a little too many somethings for this one! I couldn’t leave the event without purchasing this white crop top and floral maxi skirt. This lightweight airy skirt has a slit in the front that’s definitely fun and different from the typical maxi skirts you see. I’ll probably be wearing this all one summer long with all
kinds of tanks, crops, and t-shirts.
kinds of tanks, crops, and t-shirts.
If you live in (or within a 300 mile radius at least) you must check out Houston’s new TopShop! You could use it as an excuse to get your British fix? I mean … if you need one of those. More English Breakfast Tea, please!
Now for a completely un-related (but sort of related) side-note, when do you all think Princess Kate will have her baby? My money is on April 13th! And I do hope it’s a little girl! Can’t wait to see what she decides to name the future prince or princess!
Sharing a few snaps from Houston’s new TopShop below!
