Spinning Around in Stripes and Florals

If you’ve been following my blog for a while now, you’ve probably surmised that I absolutely love to spin around in spin-worthy dresses. It’s become kind of a hobby of mine.

Florals and Stripes with Pearls and Vintage Inspired Sunnies

Ugg Char Mar Wedges with a Striped and Floral Sundress

This striped floral pretty from Anthropologie does not disappoint in the spin-worthy department. As soon as I saw the stripe and floral combination hanging on the rack out of the corner of my eye, I knew I had to try this dress on immediately! Isn’t it funny how we typically gravitate towards the same prints or styles? My mom always jokes that she only ever sees me wearing stripes, which was something I wasn’t really aware I had a thing for, until she pointed it out. One glance into my closet, and yep, she was right. This flowy sundress has an added floral pattern that gives what would be a typical stripe dress something extra special. And isn’t that what we want out of our clothing?

With the print mixing, I feel like this dress does most of the talking.  So I styled it with a fun take on the pearl necklace from Benevolent Jewels and a pair of simple black wedges, Ugg’s Char Mar Sandals. These may also be the most comfortable pair of wedges I’ll probably ever own. When style meets comfort, I’m sold. Plus, I love telling people that these are Uggs! You would never guess that the trendy winter boot brand would kick out a pair of gorgeous summer sandals like these. They have a whole line of stylish summer footwear on their website: here.

We snapped these photos over the weekend during maybe the one hour of sunshine we were lucky enough to get. This gloomy weather has had me indoors catching up on my Netflix like it’s no joke! Plus with all of the new TV shows just out, (cough cough: Game of Thrones, Mad Men, & Outlander) that’s perfectly okay with me!
