I was so excited to see that embroidered denim was a “thing” (that’s totally in style too) that I convinced myself I was going to make it work for my nine-month pregnant body. Basically, I just sized up in this fabulous top & squeezed my baby bump into it! … It works right!?
Today I’m talking all about the latest embroidery trend, this top (that’s on super sale for only $36 I might add) and how I’m dressing the bump in my last few weeks of pregnancy. Plus, I can’t not mention that Anthro’s tag sale has arrived! All sale items are an extra 40% off. WooOO!
Maternity clothing is Great. Fabulous. So comfortable. You really can’t do pregnancy without it. But by the 36/37th week (if you’re a fashion obsessed individual like myself) you reallllllly start to miss how you used to dress & begin craving everything non-maternity. Case in point, a recent visit to Anthropologie where I discovered I could simply not live without this funky embroidered denim top. I sized up to fit the bump and convinced myself this button down would be perfect for nursing baby afterwards too. (Plus, it’s now an extra 40% off it’s already marked down sale price. Woo!!)
Maybe the fit looks a bit funny with a big baby belly tucked underneath. But when you’re wearing a shirt with an embroidered tiger & volcano on the front, you’ve already confirmed that you really don’t care what anyone else thinks. 😉
From embroidered flowers, animals, to numbers, letters & quirky abstract prints – anything goes in terms of embroidery on clothing these days. Not only are denim button downs but jackets, tanks and even jeans are also sporting the latest buzzed-about trend. Thanks to the recent runway, and most notably Gucci, for kicking off this trend that tops my list of favorites this season!

Today marks my official end of Christmas Vacation. It was short & sweet! Heading back to “reality” today won’t be as hard as years past, because my real Christmas gift (and an even longer vacation with baby girl) is right around the corner. If you’re headed back to the office today, wishing you a wonderful day (with lots of coffee!)
