Hello, Summer! It’s hard to believe that it’s not actually “summer” yet because I’ve been shopping for the season for weeks now. From flirty dresses to floral prints & denim shorts, summer style is my absolute favorite! This blue two-piece set of mine is so perfect for a dressier event this season, like a wedding perhaps? Or a very impromptu trip to Florida in 2 weeks?! 😉
I’m chatting all about this pretty dress and my upcoming trip to Orlando for the BlogHer Conference all in today’s post!
First things first, this Eliza J dress makes me oh-so-happy for so many reasons! Number one: it felt like a dream to throw on a fitted dress in my pre-pregnancy size and find that it actually fit me well! Number two: it’s on sale for 25% off! Number three: the light blue color makes it easy to accessorize with a ton of fun & different shoes and accessories. I’m definitely planning on pulling this two-piece beauty out at my upcoming conference later this month.

Speaking of which, I’ll be attending the BlogHer17 Conference in Orlando! I’ve been to quite a few blogging conferences since I started Lone Star Looking Glass. Most of these were fashion-oriented, such as rewardStyle and The Blog Societies. This one, however, will be hosting any and all genres of bloggers. From tech to beauty to foodie to current events, it’s going to be one big melting pot and I can’t wait to be included.
The speakers are so different too! I’m used to hearing from industry experts in the fashion blogging world but I’ll be treated to keynote speakers from all different facets of life who are there to inspire, encourage and lift up women all while turning their passions into content & commerce. {Sounds good to me!} One of the keynotes that I’m most interested to hear from is Chelsea Clinton! It’ll definitely be a different conference experience from what I’m used to, but I’m excited nonetheless.
We’re Going to Disney!
One of the things that really drew me to deciding to attend is the fact that it’s held in Orlando, Florida at a swanky hotel only minutes from Disney World!! I also have to thank my AMAZING mom because she agreed to come along with me and watch Annie while I’m at the conference. When you’re an exclusively breastfeeding mama, having help like this and your baby nearby is so so so wonderful!
I have such fun memories of Disney World as a kid and to go again with my mom and Annie is going to be so much fun, just thinking about it I want to scream with glee! We’re going to do Epcot and Animal Kingdom with a 1-day park hopper pass. If any of y’all have been before, I’d love some recommendations!
I decided I want to save Magic Kingdom for when Patrick can come with us and for when Annie can actually remember going. Magic Kingdom is truly the most magical and to be able to see it through her eyes when she’s a bit older is an experience I can’t wait to share with him! Really at this age, just 5-months, Annie won’t really know what’s going on so the experience is more for my mom & I than her. But I’d like to think that she will realize what’s happening when she meets the famous Mickey Mouse and strolls through the park with us!
