A Floral Frock for the Fourth

Can you believe it is kinda sorta time to start talking about the 4th of July? Every year, I always imagine I’ll be dressed to the nines in some sort of red, white and blue eye-catching ensemble, like this daisy eyelet dress. But most of the time … I’ve just changed out of my bathing suit into jeans and a t-shirt and am sitting by a firepit in either someone’s backyard or at the lake. I much prefer the latter, to be honest! But if I did have a festive party on the agenda, something like this little gem would be oh-so-adorable! And the best part of this look? This floral dress is now 40% off too!

Styling and sharing this 4th of July-inspired outfit below and rounding up a few fun ways to spend the 4th here in Houston!

With 4th of July falling on a Wednesday this year, it makes it kind of difficult to get away to enjoy this patriotic holiday. Luckily, for those stuck in the city, there are SO many things going on in and around H-town to celebrate!

Star Spangled Salute at the Symphony at the Millet Outdoor Theater This free event at the Miller Theater in Herman Park is probably the most magical way to celebrate Independence Day, in my opinion! Pack a hearty picnic and set your blanket down in the grass for a relaxing evening on the lawn. The night is finished off with a bang – colorful fireworks of course!

Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular at City Centr Country music and fireworks!

Freedom Over Texas at Eleanor Tinsley Park Chart-topping country stars strum their guitars with fireworks shooting off in the distance. The twinkling light from downtown Houston’s skyscrapers makes for a fabulous backdrop too!

Many neighborhood pools and country clubs often offer poolside celebrations too. We’ll be enjoying all the pool games at our neighborhood pool and possibly heading to see the fireworks at one of the above events soon after! What are some of your favorite ways to celebrate America’s independence on the 4th of July?
