Casual Yet Sophisticated for Spring

Texas fashion blogger styles pearl embellished jeans, a silk tpo and embroidered heels with Ann Taylor.

Happy Friday! I’m gearing up for a big weekend in Austin for SXSW. I only just decided a week ago that this trip was going to happen but I love the spontaneity of it! I’ll be attended a few blogger/style panels and seeing my college roomie who happens to live there. I’m so excited for some girl time with her and to hear the inspiring stories from women in the blogging industry. Now to decide what to wear! Why is that always so difficult!?

But before all that, I wanted to share this sweet & simple outfit with you guys from Ann Taylor. It’s all 40% off today too!! More details on the look below!

I think Ann Taylor is such a great place to shop for those crisp, poised & polished looks. Especially for women who work in offices that have stricter dress codes. While my office days are behind me, I tend to dress much more casual on the regular. Ann Taylor’s more laid back pieces are perfect for my everyday style but yet they are also sophisticated enough for a special occasion.

Shop the Look:

These “girlfriend” jeans of theirs are embellished with pearl details that make them so much fun! I love pieces that have that special and unique detail. Speaking of which how fun are these embroidered heels for spring?! Paired with a silk top, these heels balance out the oversized look of the girlfriend jeans just perfectly. And if you’re digging these jeans just as much as I am, I definitely recommend sizing down in them as they run just a little big. Oh, and I can’t not mention my black acrylic handbag. It’s a Cult Gaia dupe that I found on Amazon for less than $50! I will say, it doesn’t hold up as well as the real Cult Gaia bags do (I’ve already broken a small piece on it … oops!) but for the price tag it’s too good to resist.

Now I’m off to get ready for the weekend! For those of you who are being treated to this lovely spring weather a bit early, I hope you get to get out & enjoy it too! And as always, thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog! Have a great Friday!
