We’re right smack dab in the middle of Rodeo Houston and I’m seriously having an absolute ball, can’t you tell!? Patrick and I are seeing Luke Bryan later this week and I am SO excited for a night out with my man! Aside from the funnel cakes, corn dogs, fried Oreos, rodeo games & concerts (all of which are fabulous things you guys) my FAVORITE part of rodeo has got to be dressing up for it! To be honest, cowboy boots & boho vibes are part of my everyday style, but during rodeo season you get to realllly max out the trends and the best part – everybody else is doing it too!
Earlier this week I headed out to River Oaks Shopping Center to scoop up a look for Rodeo Houston with Hemline. With an entire section of the shop dedicated to Rodeo-inspired looks, it was so hard to leave the store without more than one outfit!! You’ll see why below. 😉
Hemline is a contemporary women’s clothing boutique infused with bohemian style and every time I pop in I’m absolutely swooning! With pieces from both notable designers and up & coming local artists, I always seem to find a hidden gem at Hemline that nobody else seems to have.
Like these necklaces and booties!? One of each, pretty please!!!
You also can’t go into Hemline without popping next door for a macaron (or seven) at Macaron by Patisse. The chic white marble interior and statement chandelier alone make you feel fancy. Top that off with a tasty macaron and it’s the perfect feel-good treat.
Now off to Rodeo!
Hemline seriously made it so easy to find a rodeo-ready look. This oversized embroidered top is by Johnny Was and I love how it looks styled with a cut off mini-skirt. I haven’t worn one of these in AGES but it felt perfectly appropriate for Rodeo. This white one is by One Teaspoon and gives off all sorts of “cool girl” vibes.
My necklace and handbag are both from Hemline too. And get this, they are both made by local Houston designers! This bone & beaded necklace by Natalie Hytower is probably one of the prettiest things I’ve ever seen. And the brown handbag is by Sofia, made in Italy but designed in Texas!
Now it’s time for some carnival games & cotton candy if I do say so myself. Yeehaw!
