Hello, and welcome to my Victorian Mansion! Oh, if only! We stumbled upon this house when we first moved to Houston and since then it has always been a favorite of mine to ride my bike by and admire. This gorgeous white house has always reminded me of the home in the movie Practical Magic. (the BEST film!!) I can just imagine several witches jumping off the ledge of the tip-top window on Halloween night. If you’ve seen the movie, then you definitely know what I’m talking about!

Truthfully, if I had an endless budget that I could spend on a home, I would want something similar to this. With original historical details dotting the interior, but mostly completely updated inside. After living in a home from the 1920s to our current home that was built in the 1960s, I’m kind of intimidated by the idea of permanently moving into a truly older home. Whenever we decide to settle somewhere for longer than a few years, part of me wants something 100% new and hassle-free. But then I look at this house and I question everything. What do you prefer – a new home with all the fixings or something older and more charming?

Now, on to this floral maxi dress

I know I say “this is my favorite dress” a lot a lot a lot. I find it very easy to fall in love with articles of clothing ha! But this floral maxi dress will always be up there in the top 10 pieces in my wardrobe. Every. single. thing. about. it. is PERFECT! The floral print, the ruffled red hem, the flattering wrap silhouette and even the clasp at the chest for a bit more modesty makes this springtime maxi dress flawless.

This floral maxi dress is currently available at Anthropologie and still has several sizes left. (Grab it before it goes!) The Brazillian brand that makes this beauty is called Farm Rio and they are known for their bold prints and feminine silhouettes. This dress is my first piece from this brand and oh I’m just in love!

As far as sizing goes, I sized down from a small to an x-small. I just had a feeling it would run big and I was right. I ordered the regular size and it’s pretty long too, so unless you’re a lover of heels, you may want to opt for the petite. This floral maxi dress is a bit on the dressier side but also has a laid-back “resort style” feel to it, which makes it perfect for dinners out while on vacation. I’ll definitely be packing this printed dress on all my upcoming trips this summer too.

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
