Beachy Waves + A Bright Striped Maxi Dress

It’s Spring Break in Houston! Even though that really doesn’t mean too much for us since we’re not in typical school calenders just yet. But for those of you that are on Spring Break or planning a beachy getaway soon, I’m sharing some resort-ready outfit inspiration & chatting about why I think this look works for SO many different occasions. More below…

You guys, my hair is just all over the place in this blog post! It was so windy that day and it was like as soon as the salty air hit my curls the whole thing went beserk. But I can’t help but love the laid-back look of it. I sometimes try so hard to recreate beachy waves at home when all I have to do is step outside in Galveston for the real thing!

Shop the Look:

I packed this pretty striped Anthropologie Tianna Tiered Maxi Dress with me on my recent trip to Phoenix thinking it was perfect to wear around the resort. (It totally was!) I also love it paired with espadrilles and beachy waves for a day at the beach too. It’s selling out super fast at the moment, but if you find your size restocked get it before you regret it! It’s a great dress to throw on over a bathing suit or pair with heels for a date. I ended up getting the petite version in my normal size so it wasn’t just SO much fabric billowing about.

I’ve also got to share how much I love these rose gold espadrille wedges from Seychelles! They just launched at Anthro and I feel like they go with every single thing in my closet too. And maybe it’s just me, but they remind me of the shoes Allie wore in The Notebook, so naturally, I love them all the more!

On another note, living in Houston, we are so lucky to have Galveston just an hour’s drive away. I was down there last weekend and the sound of the seashore and that salty breeze was just what I needed to get out of my winter’s slump! My blogger friend Anna and I shot a few looks with our photographer Yash and we had the BEST time. We were only down there for a few hours but in a way, it felt like we went on a mini-vacation too. I’m definitely planning a day trip to the beach before it gets too hot. Which means ASAP in Texas!
