As Labor Day approaches, I find it’s time to start shifting gears and focusing on the season ahead. Oh but I’m still holding on to summer as strong as ever over here! This summer has been one of the best summers I think I have ever had. Filled with good friends, family adventures, a whole lot of travel and sweet summertime activities with Annie too. If you’re still hanging onto summer like I am, NOW is the time to scoop up those summer steals at your favorite places to shop.
Sharing the deets on this super on-sale dress, ramblings about everyday life (naturally) and a bit of Charleston, South Carolina eye-candy all below!
The Mill House Hotel in Charleston will always be my favorite backdrop for fashion photos. This darling pink hotel sits right in the heart of the historic district and its gorgeous architectural details have me swooning. It was opened in the 1850s and was once the city’s post office! Talk about a beaaaaautiful post office.
This sweet summertime look was absolutely perfect for a day of playing tourist in Charleston. The fit of my eyelet tunic dress was loose enough to pick up and tote around my rambunctious toddler and breezy enough for those hot South Carolina temperatures too. It’s a recent Anthropologie find and now on super sale too! Most sizes are still available and I would recommend staying true to size. I almost sized down due to the boxy fit but I’m glad I stuck to the small. It’s nice to have more space in the arms and the oversized fit is part of the style … and ridiculously comfortable too.

And I have to gush about these sandals!! I wore these flats from Joules the entire trip. (They’re sadly sold out but I linked a look-a-like.) A great pair of flats with legit support can truly make or break a vacation. I’ve totally been on the opposite end of this experience and it’s certainly no bueno. So I’m definitely going to have to see what Joules has in store come fall for my upcoming travels! The quality of these sandals is amazing, y’all!
Oh! And last but not least, I’ve got to shout out about this blue bandana of mine. I’ve been gushing over all of the scarf-styled hairstyles on my pinterest feed and finally tried it out on my own. Easy as pie and a fun way to dress up your locks! This blue bandana scarf stands out because it comes in a shimmery silk-like fabric. You can find it in several different colors that’ll transition easily to fall too.

Now that I’m back in Houston after a last minute jaunt to Memphis I’m ready to get caught up on ALL the things! Annie will be starting back up at school in just a few short weeks. And I feel as if she has completely grown out of everything in her closet. I’m thinking a trip to Zara Kids and Nordstrom are on our horizon today! What are your favorite places to shop for your little ones?! I feel like all I do is buy her new clothes haha! And it’s so sad to see her grow out of those precious little dresses but exciting at the same time.
Anywho, as always, thanks for stopping by the blog! Hope you all have a happy Wednesday!
