Dressing up a pair of Cowboy Boots

My love affair with my cowboy boots is quite the serious one. I have an entire shelf lining the top portion of my closet with my collection of boots on display. I could go on all day why I adore donning these classic kicks – their comfort, functionality, style, history, story they tell & more. It’s easy to throw my boots on with jeans and a simple top for running errands or meeting friends for coffee. But I always have the most fun when I dress them up with an unexpected sundress or something oh-so-frilly just for the juxtaposition.

So without further ado, I’m sharing a short & simple post today filled with cowboy boot style inspo & a roundup of spring dresses that I think would be just darling to style with my Southwestern boots! More below …

In this outfit, I feel like I could just waltz into my TV screen’s episode of Little House on the Prairie and fit right on in. I’m totally okay with that! The big western style trend that is going on right now makes my heart ohhh so happy and I am having too much fun putting my own spin on it. I love the idea of pairing my cowboy boots with prairie style dresses or anything with a Victorian influence. Most of the time these pieces come with frills, high necklines, and lace accents, making them the ultimate in feminine style. Cowboy boots can be a bit rugged so pairing the two together to make one less dressy and one much dressier makes perfect sense!

This Victorian inspired floral dress of mine is a recent find from Chicwish. It has subtle floral details that blend in with the fabric and shine in the right light. My favorite parts of the dress are its high neckline and ruffled midi hem – just the right length to show off my Lucchese boots! I’m rounding up a few similar styles of dresses below that I’m positively swooning over this spring. They’d be darling dressed up with boots, wedges, and even sneakers if you’re feeling daring.

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
