I’m probably like most of you right now, ready for all things sunshine & spring! But since I can’t fast forward the seasons, I might as well enjoy winter to its fullest extent. A few of my girlfriends and I did just that this past weekend in Leavenworth, Washington. I met up with Rebekah, Annie & Roselyn (three girls I became super close with while living in Houston – and fabulous style bloggers too I might add) for the ultimate winter weather getaway.
I am planning on sharing a full post on what we did & how to explore Leavenworth to its fullest in just a few short days, but until then, I’m sprinkling a bit of winter style inspo on the blog. Before this trip, I had never traveled to a cold-weather destination and I had absolutely NO idea what to pack to stay warm & stylish too. The girls and I had a long text thread going sharing packing tips and outfit ideas and at the end of the day, we all kept warm & cozy – looking cute too!
The four of us even passed around our own sweaters and jackets to share with the group, maximizing outfits and our suitcase space this way. My sweet friend Roselyn brought along this adorable leopard print puff sleeve jacket and we thought it would be fun to share our own take on it – styling it four different ways! So without further ado, four fresh winter looks featuring this leopard print jacket from four fashionistas are below!

Rebekah and I always joke that our style is totally opposite from one other. She’s more sleek, trendy and glam while I am more laid back, girly and bohemian. Yet, we both love so many similar things only we choose to style them in different ways. I love how she spiced up this jacket with a monochromatic ensemble. Also, if only I could pose for photos like she can!! I can never nail down the “non-smiling” serious look yet she kills it!! You can see more of Rebekah’s style: here.

Annie’s take on the “sisterhood of the traveling leopard coat” took place during our snowshoeing adventure. (Which was absolutely amazing by the way!) Annie took practical measures when putting together her look, pairing this printed jacket with sturdy ski pants and a white beanie to keep warm. Annie’s overall style is classic meets trendy and she seems to always have the freshest fashion finds. She also dresses her little daughter Chloe up in the most darling outfits!! Roselyn & the Leopard Puffer Jacket
Roselyn’s look is one that works both for a snowy weekend getaway and for a chilly day back home wherever you may roam. She paired it with classic jeans, a simple striped tee, Marc Fisher combat boots (ironically 3/4 girls on this trip packed these shoes along with us too!) and a white beanie. Roselyn always has a knack for taking simple pieces and elevating them no matter the occasion. You can check out more of her style on her blog & IG here.

And now a bit on my look! This was one of several versions of my “aprés ski” style during our trip. I wore leggings underneath my waterproof ski pants so that whenever our snowy activities were finished, I was able to transition my outfit into something more comfortable stat. I swapped my snowshoes for my (oh-so-popular) March Fisher combat boots (currently 20% off w/ the code LTD1346 at MarchFisher.com!) & paired it with this cropped fuzzy sweater and a thermal. These were my base layers for the majority of the weekend. Topping this simple look off with this ever so stylish Leopard Jacket made my outfit ready for whatever we were going to take on next! In this case, it was wine tasting in town.

This winter weather girl’s getaway of ours was seriously SO good for my soul. It has been months & months since I’ve seen my Houston girlfriends and meeting up with them again at the Seattle airport was the most wonderful feeling. Now that I’m in Tennessee and more time has passed, it is starting to feel more important than ever to nurture these long-distance relationships. It’s not every day that friends like these come along and I’m so thankful blogging has brought them into my life. Now to plan the next adventure, and soon!
