We all have that one section of our closets filled with our favorite party dresses. They are the dresses that you pull out for special occasions, the ones that have maybe been worn once or twice, at least. Well, today I’m here talking about how we can break out our party dresses on the regular, and wear them not only at night but during the day too!

At the moment, it even fits my growing baby belly. #win.
To get the most out of this festive frock, I paired it with a black leather jacket and matching flats.
The edgier pieces drastically dress down the feminine lace details, making it more appropriate for daytime or happy hour with the girls.
Simple silver accessories and a light gray clutch add a little something extra to the look without distracting from the vibrant lace dress.

In non-fashion related news, Patrick and I have a very exciting week ahead of us! We are officially moving into our new home this week! I’ve been a bit MIA on social media lately, with all the packing (& naps in between #pregnancyprolesm) we’ve been SO busy getting ready for the move.
With this big move comes exciting things for Lone Star Looking Glass. I’m planning on introducing an entire new chapter of content into the blog: home decor! Right after college I worked on several home reno shows for DIY Network (it was the beeesssst job) and I’ve always loved watching home makeover shows, seeing before & afters and what not. Now that I finally get to do some serious DIY-ing, decorating & home decor updates of my own – I’m completely over the moon!
