Mother’s Day is this Sunday. Have you shopped for mom yet?! My mom lives out of town, so I usually give her her gift before or after the holiday, depending on whichever visit falls the closest. She’s heading to Houston next week, so I still have a few extra days to shop for her! Hence the last minute blog post ha! But in all honesty, I’m kind of a last minute person. Just like my own mom! (*wink wink*) Thank goodness that overnight shipping is a thing in the 21st century.

Candles ALWAYS make a great gift, in my opinion. I tend to burn through them pretty quickly and when I find I scent I adore, I buy it over and over. I love matching with Annie so why should it be any different matching my own mom even though I’m a grown up? I think a gift where you both are treated to the same item makes it all the more special. I know I’ll always think of my mom when wearing both of these pieces too!

Even Pamper Her at Home
I personally think it is easy to get in a “rut” with your at home beauty, bath, and spa-like products. Blogging has opened a lot of doors and I’ve had such special opportunities to sample products from brands that I might not have otherwise heard about. So now I few years in, I’ve tried some pretttttty amazing bath & beauty products. Let me tell you, having the good stuff on hand is such a treat and a game changer when it comes to your daily routine!
With that being said, right now I’m loving Raw Sugar’s Truly Unruly Shampoo & Conditioner along with their All That Shines Hair Masque. The whole line smells divine and leaves your hair feeling silky smooth. I also really like the bamboo accents on the packaging. It spices up the clutter of goodies I have lining my shower shelf if I do say so.

I had SO much fun teaming up with Hobo to share their matching Shay and Sheila Bags this spring! (Annie and I were even featured in the NY Post – how stinkin’ cool!!) Anywho, prior to this opportunity, I wasn’t really aware that matching mother-daughter handbags were even a thing. And now I’m obsessed! Not only are these two blue bags absolutely beautiful, but they’re also both made of high-quality materials and will last for years to come. Annie will definitely be growing into hers and hopefully letting me borrow it down the road too.

The statement earring trend is here to stay and I’m oh-so-glad! I snapped this shot of these stunning summer earrings at Houston’s very own Cheeky Vintage. While big chain stores are great, I sometimes prefer to grab a gift from a local shop or boutique because I feel that it comes across as a bit more thoughtful.

Many of these last minute Mothers Day gifts are things that I use every day in my own home, have been gifted to me and I’ve completely fallen in love with or are just my pure and simple recommendations. Oh, and I can’t forget one of my biggest and best Mother’s Day gift idea that doesn’t have an image associated – sleeping in on Sunday morning! It’s one thing I’ve asked Patrick for three years in a row and it truly is the best gift of all. I think I can count on just two hands the number of days I’ve actually slept “in” since Annie was born. Sleep is the utmost in luxury these days y’all!
