I can’t even begin to tell y’all how excited I am to share today’s news!! Drumroll … I designed a hat! Eeek! I teamed up with one of my favorite hat makers, Hat Attack, to debut a Mommy & Me pair of straw hats just in time for summer. Matching Annie is one of my favorite things in the world, and to be able to match her in something I created for the both of us is just too cool! The hats are now available for anyone and everyone to shop right here on HatAttack.com and I would be oh-so-thrilled if you checked them out!

I still want to say … pinch me! Did I really just design my own hat!? When designing this hat duo with Hat Attack, I was given complete free reign to come up with whatever I wanted in the sun hat realm. The possibilities were endless! But I was surprised how quickly I ended up settling on my design. I knew without a doubt I wanted the hats to be in a rancher-style silhouette. Not only because it is my preferred style, but I also felt that it gave a bit of a nod to the rancher lifestyle in the Lone Star State.

Next up was picking the hat band. This hat collection is a reflection of my style and tastes and I wanted that to show through the design of the band. I chose a simple navy ribbon (blue is my all time favorite color after all) accented with a lovely piece of white lace. The lace addition gives the hat a more feminine touch and is a unique accent that you rarely see on hats too! The only difference between the band on my hat and Annie’s hat is that hers comes with a small bow detail at the back. 🙂

I basically live in hats come summer time (that’s a lie … I live in my hats year round!) But what I love most about this hat is how lightweight it is yet it also has structure to it. It’s an easy hat to grab and go and also pack away on a getaway. The navy and white lace details make it versatile enough to pair with just about everything in your wardrobe too! And Hat Attacks’ hats are made with such quality materials that they hold their shape for years to come.
