Y’all, I drank the kool-aid. I woke up early and shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale like every other blogger out there … and I don’t regret it! This is my first year to have early-access and really feel like I’m “jumping on the sale bandwagon. But to be fair, I only purchased a handful of great everyday basics that I know I’ll get A LOT of wear out of for a long time to come. (& maybe I snuck a pretty dress or two into that shopping cart too but shh!)
Deets on the Sale:
So what is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? It is unique in many ways because the items that go on sale are a season ahead, brand new to the store and trendy too. Once the sale is over, these items will go back up to their original prices. So it really is the best time to think ahead and stock up on pieces for your fall wardrobe.
Today begins Early Access shopping for all Nordstrom cardholders. This means that individuals who have the Nordstrom credit card are able to shop the sale before it opens to the public on July 20th. I personally don’t have the credit card … I just have a really sweet friend who let me order a few things off of hers today. (After all, what are friends for!?) Maybe I’ll get one next year. Because I was SO much more tempted to shop when I woke up this morning than I ever thought I’d be!
My top picks are shared above! (But I’ll be adding to the list throughout the sale too.)
Darling Dresses for Now & Later:
I love this simple white dress with the fringe detail at the hem. It’s perfect for summer and it’ll also be cute to style with scarves and booties come fall. Eliza J can do no wrong when it comes to wrap dresses and I’m thinking this plaid one will be adorable for our trip to Ireland in the fall. And last but not least, both of the printed dresses by Hinge have my style written all over them! I love the boho sleeves and mixture of prints! How cute would they both be with booties when the temps drop!?
You Can Never Have Too Many Shoes
Am I right!? I always hear that the Nordstrom Sale is the best time to buy a great pair of boots or booties. This black Steve Madden over the knee boot is super stylish and under $100. I’m also loving these western-inspired booties by UGG. I’ve worn their booties in the past and they are always incredibly comfortable. This pair is on my wishlist and I’ll probably decide by the end of the day whether or not I can’t live without them!
Cozy Sweaters & Coats
Yes, I know I live in Texas. And I know those sweater and coat days are few & far between. BUT if you do live in a cooler climate, travel to cooler places or just like to cozy up on the couch at home in something soft & chic, the anniversary sale has got you covered! I picked up this pink cardigan by TopShop because I love that it feels like you’re just wearing a big blanket! And I rarely do pink … so thought it would be something fun to try at such a great price point.
When it Comes to Denim:
The first thing I added to my cart was the Madewell High-Rise Skinny Jeans with the five button closure. I’ve actually been swooning over this pair for years, and seeing it dip down below $90 was quite the surprise! I’ve included two pairs of jeans from Kut from the Kloth here & here in my roundup too. I’m a HUGE fan of this denim brand. I love that these jeans have a lot of stretch, both in the skinny and boyfriend style. Great for anyone who is always on-the-go.
